Apparently, the recently released teaser trailer for Thunderbolts was more of a full-length trailer rather than a teaser because it was longer than even some of the big trailers out there. There was an opportunity for a best performer to finally get a look at the prospects of the film that, to be very fair, was rated the lowest for a 2025 release. This video is a teaser, but this time it can be proclaimed that probably the film would not turn out as bad as it was feared to be. In fact, it seems that television may turn out to be rather a pleasant surprise. For you, though it is not the purpose, just that yet, are not lifting me expectations. But of course the teaser causes positive.
The teaser opens with Yelena Belova banging on the door of her son, the Red Guardian. He answers claiming that he had told the delivery person to keep the food outside the door but Yelena explains that she has only come to leave a five-star review. Continuing with their conversation, Yelena states, “Dad, I’ve returned.” Red Guardian gets up in a hurry to clean up the house. Red Guardian states that it is only to the extent of helping him that he asks whether he is complete. He disintegrates that he is “full and fed” so to speak however it is apparent that only his belly is satisfied. Red Guardian has stack of eviction notices and other bills fastened on the fridge. This makes it possible to see another side of his life. However, Red Guardian attempts to keep trying to look normal, even though he is in a bad situation – for example, he brushes his teeth with dish soap.
Yet, for Yelena, that might as well be absolute rubbish. The sight of the Marvel Studios logo is in shining soft yellow light as it showcases which is quite interestingly, related to the “Bob-builder” theme but, not the way someone would expect. The trailer right away cuts to Bucky Barnes who, after the buildup of the character in the […]How a Narration is Developed, if after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier over again »… Jane Smith is not impressed. It looks as if he serves as a diplomat or he is taking part in some politics which is quite evident that he hates. A hint about his political participation is given behind a badge on his breast. Walker, on the other hand, does not wish to dissociate from the image of Captain America quite so easily. He becomes even more annoyed when he sees the headline: John Walker still serves as an Olympian. He glares at the headlines on the newsfeed one of which details why he would, or should, never be Cap again. A good piece of work, which is trying hard not to look in awe at dead Gus, this phrase is not so clear and is put on the many pages, Steven Davis is very well. Walker’s storyline like other characters of this Marvel Universe in some cases requires some cuts.
As the teaser progresses, we see Yelena working on a mission involving a building that looks to be somewhere in Asia considering the presence of an imba logo which is based in Australia, but hints at an Asian location. There’s also a corridor action sequence featuring Yelena that reminds of Black Widow’s scene from Iron Man 2. But this time rather than taking place in a light corridor as Black Widow, Yelena’s scene occurs in a dark corridor which indicates the fact that she is now trapped in a different world working for an agency who could be like Val.
The preview becomes more captivating when a scene shows Yelena heading into a room full of papers. At first, these files may come off as trivial, but if one were to pause for a moment, they would find a sticker on the clipboard that says “Please Do Not Release,” which is an obvious indicator of something classified, or something that shouldn’t be exposed. Even further back, there is also a design of a costume with an “S” on it, suggestive of making a character stereotypically like Captain America or a sentry. Fans of the comics are not then surprised when here another “S” appears, this time for the Death Seed Sentry costume. This. is quite a highly powered version of the character in the comics universe. Further out, the Death Seed is one created by Celestials to safeguard superior life forms like mutants as they destroy superior beings like humans.
Another character is then introduced by the name of Bob and who apparently is not quite sure of what is happening to him. Sentry, or Robert Reynolds as known in the comics, has two nick names Bobby and Bob and is said to originate from a Super Soldier Serum which had not been tested on any human being. This serum provides him with the strength of a thousand suns exploding, as can be derived from the character Superman. At this point, it seems that the entire world or more accurately, the issues surrounding Bob is going to go into some sort of lockdown, with red lights flashing and rockets being fired possibly indicating when Bob becomes the invincible entity Sentry.
What makes the teaser most interesting is the fact that Bob is shown acting as though nothing is happening to him, somewhat like how his comic counterpart, Sentry, suffers from dissociative identity disorder—being several people in one body. Sentry has three distinct personalities: that of a common guy named Robert Reynolds; Sentry; the man with superhuman abilities; and Void, his evil twin turned extreme. If Bob were to use his powers to turn into Void, which he does, then that would be some serious trouble for any poor souls in his vicinity, since there would be little chance of escaping him alive.
We get a short glimpse of Yelena and her reaction is priceless, “What the hell?” Other actors also feel the amount of stress, as the song “Where Is My Mind” from Fight Club leads into the action extremely well. The next scene reveals the presence of a party, at which Bucky was with Loki’s scepter but sans the Mind Stone. The purpose of the party seems to be the anniversary of the New York battle, glass box cases containing various things such as Loki’s scepter and looking like one. This looks like a government function probably for charity purposes, but if such is the case then surely Val must be around which begs the question as to whether the DOEF widows is in fact such.
Next, we go back to Bob, who is looking at a group of soldiers who are trying to take aim at him. Bullet holes are visible in the gown that Bob is wearing as if the character had been shot at within the film or stabbed, but nothing seems to work against the Jew. The character of Bucky unsurprisingly, perhaps rather comically rather, is seen balancing his vibranium arm, as a dish washing mitt. Not long after, we see the Thunderbolts team engage in battle in New York, with a shot of a street sign suggesting they are already at Dupe Place.
The teaser ends by showing Valentina Allegra de Fontaine who is owning the Avengers Tower now making it her base of operations. This gives the impression that she has enough resources and ability to carry out the kind of experiments, as well as run the kind of agency that is shown in the teaser. There is still some ambiguity regarding Taskmaster’s participation, it goes without saying that there were cuts and it is evident that all were lost in the mission.
In quite possibly the final shot, we get to see Bob’s buckle which we can recall having seen in the earlier shot somewhere on the documents. He is dressed in what looks like a cool full suit, yet very different in the styles of how Sentry’s ‘S’ logo is portrayed in comic books. Let’s hope that the next trailer will reveal more of the character’s suit because the teaser is very effective in wanting more. Even though it is premature to wait wait and see how it all plays out, the visuals along with the storyline elements indicate that Thunderbolts is possible a much better movie than anticipated.
