Azrael is a dark fantasy-action film based on the figure of the archangel of death Azrael, portrayed as an abolitionist who picks up arms against some divine forces in a celestial war aimed at preventing impending doom to humanity. The directorial work is handed to David Leitch, who has a knack for accompanying high-octane movies, and so in this one, Azrael (Jason Momoa) comes down to Earth, daring both Heaven and Hell, which force him to partake in a battle that seems to reshape the very fabric of the universe. Herein, Azrael is pitched to pursue grand ambitions which are interleaved with political intrigues and dirty swindles dwelled on pitcher dark wonderful beings and other unsavory mortals.

Cast: Jason Momoa as Azrael Charlize Theron as Selene, who is a mortal woman drawn into the war between gods and men Idris Elba as Michael the Archangel Tom Hardy as Lucifer Positive Aspects: Visually Stunning: The Camera Work and the effects are all lovely, the sparkle all the way from Heaven and Hell to the fighting arena helps quite a bit.

Epic Action: It is David Leitch, again, who handles action choreography, following well the plot and breathening with tough and bloody battle scenes that keep the viewers in suspense. Strong Cas: Jason Momoa takes the lead and carries the film capitalizing on the surrounding strong footage that enhances and emphasizes the film. Negative Aspects: For overstuffed plot: in other films no matter how impressive the action part is, this thing is overstuffed and makes the storyline unique but busy.

Pacing Issues: The movie can at times drag quite a bit, especially during the information heavy expositions, which often makes the action scenes feel a bit too sparse.
