MadS

MadS is a psychological horror film that tells the story of a group of young scientists who are the creators of a unique virtual reality system that is capable of penetrating into the human subconscious. However, this invention soon destroys the creators as the system starts to bring out their fears and traumas, making them disassociate between actual reality and a nightmare.

Positive Aspects:

The idea is original and resonates with the fears of todays society about loss of control over strong and persuasive human emotions.

Florence Pugh performs another hit as someone torn apart psychologically and bends into an emotionally unstable person who is slowly losing control over her character.

The film manages to capture stunning images that are pleasing to the eyes, thanks to amazing use of breathtaking imagery and surrealism.

Negative Aspects:

There is no sense of flow in the film as it begins slowly and will appeal to those seeking quick jumps or frights greatly.

Some will view the conclusion of the film as disappointing due to an unsatisfactory climax which leads to several questions with no definitive answers.
