Pendekar Awang, a great warrior whose story is centered around one main goal: to protect his kingdom from tyrants. The movie officially set during the time of the Malacca Sultanate and explores much of the round turner elements of courage, betrayal and heroism. Pendekar Awang: Darah Indera Gajah is an animated version which is based on the folklore and myth of Malaysia’s history and culture that is filled with spectacular martial arts movements surpassing the big bold visual feast.

Positive Aspects:

The historical areas of the Malaysia are shot vividly and aesthetically well by the film’s DP.

The martial arts sequences are also quite powerful, together with the chants that culture them.

One of the legendary writers in the aftermath of the Great War was brought to life by Zul Ariffin in an exceptional manner which is worth mentioning.

Negative Aspects:

The rate at which the narrative unfolds, may be seen as slow, to international supporters who are not accustomed to the legends.

Because the film contained a lot of action scenes, some characters could be perceived as shallow and lacking dimensions.
