Tarot is a supernatural thriller that will be released in 2024. It deals with some mysterious tarot cards that have the ability to see the future and alter the fate of the holders. It is the first feature film made by promising young director Gina Gomez. The plotline centers on a young girl who is given a tarot card deck by her long lost grandmother. She starts to come to grips with the use of the power contained in the deck and how every card she draws out draws out as well a consequence not only to herself but also to people surrounding her, hence, the series of sinister and enigmatic happenings.The Cast:Anya Taylor-Joy plays the main character, EvelynEthan Hawke as Victor, the tarot expertJenna Ortega plays Evelyn’s best friendMichelle Pfeiffer as Evelyn’s grandmotherPositive Aspects:Engaging Concept: One of the greatest points of interest as far as the film is concerned is the fact that the use of Tarot cards as a form of divination has an effect on the events in the film.Star-Studded Cast: There are numerous expectations about the performances of the actors, starting with Anya Taylor-Joy in the lead, supported by Ethan Hawke and Michelle Pfeiffer.Negative Aspects:Why it Won’t Work: Almost all supernatural thrillers, particularly the ones involving an occult theme, use the same tried and tested formula, and unless Tarot brings in some other fresh ideas it is going to be pretty mundane.Plot Complexity: This story may limit its audience due to the use of the tarot images since it could be a little difficult for the viewers who don’t understand the deeper meanings of the tarot.
