The Platform 2

The Platform 2 is the sequel to the Spanish science fiction and horror film The Platform which is also highly anticipated. The story follows events that unfold in post-apocalyptic ‘The Pit,’ a vertical prison. The protagonist joins other prisoners who were abducted at different levels of the cavity, becoming more deprived of sustenance rationed from above. The sequel seeks to expose even more the origins of the prison while bringing new cast who rebel against the established norms in familiar and bizarre ways.

Positive Aspects:

Intense Social Commentary: The movie does not shy away from tackling tough issues about inequality and survival, and for that, it retains its unique perspective.

Negative Aspects:

Familiar ground: The second part of the film has revisited quite a number of aspects contained in the initial film, which can be viewed to be a mere duplication of the original works.

Graphic content: The director integrated excessive violence along with horrific scenes that could be disturbing to some audiences.
