Thunderbolts Trailer Breakdown: The Rise of Sentry and Marvel’s Dark Avengers Connection

Relax! I know you have been waiting for this breakdown, and I also apologize for the slight delay. There are times when flares are fired. I have been having a few of those issues. It also appears in this trailer, that there is a word called “Watchtower” and it is important. If you understand its meaning, many of the twists involving the Axia of the film will already begin to unfold. In the comics, the Watchtower is Sentry’s nanotech tower with under spacious Cloak head with Controls A.I Clock. In the past, when Stryker was present, Mr. Fantastic and the Avengers made everyone forget about Stryker. This is how that occurred and how it all connects with the full tale of Sentry, it has been in a previous video that I have been illuminating and so you might want to look it for a wider view of Sentry.

In the year when Sentry’s face was covered and Sentry’s identity was not known, then Sentry’s powers were also banned within Bob, and reality choked the Watchtower out. Later on, it was Iron Man who bought Stark Tower, which so conveniently was put where the Watchtower used to be. At present, in the MCU, something similar is going on. The Val, has taken possession of the Avengers Tower which was formerly a Stark Building. As per the comics, where Stark Tower stands was once the location of Sentry’s Watchtower, hence placing Avengers Tower now in close hierarchy with Sentry in the MCU.

Val’s initial fascination with the diesels and high-tech weaponry of the Thunderbolts quickly turns into a desire to lead this crew for a reason. That reason shall be revealed at some point and this particular team shall cross swords with Sentry. Somewhere along the Stacy Edwards detective story pace, Val perhaps has evidence of the Watchtower inside Avengers Tower, so she was afraid she would lose this impressive and meaningful structure. There are certain people, who don’t want to see such an impressive tower disappear, and that is honestly one of the best reasons for Val, to bring together the Thunderbolts. Further, the six bullets that have been teased ahead of the Thunderbolts title, more than likely represent six original avengers which more or less hints towards Dark Avengers plot line.

I believe that the last scene of the Thunderbolts movie will show that the Avengers tower gets teleported into a different universe inhabited by the Dark Avengers. Such would also be a great introduction to the Squadron Supreme into the Marvel universe It sounds great, I’ll admit, but this is the direction the story is heading towards. There will be more of such legal issues in the videos to come, but at the moment, in case you are new to the channel, click on the subscribe button. If you have been active on the channel and have not pressed the subscribe button, now is the time. I have been providing information on all the forthcoming Marvel’s scoop with updates and leaks and being a Marvel fan that we are some recognition should be given to the superhero congregation.

The first shot of the trailer shows Yelena Belova visiting the house of Red Guardian, her father, and saying she is feeling unsatisfied. Red Guardian who is quite the same however languishes in courtesy and asserts that all is well in his worldyet is there to fictional Cambridge wherein he seems nested within disarray, bills that are overdue. We have known the characters of Yelena and Red Guardian from the movie Black Widow and how their primary character relationships worked. This film, besides containing Yelena, will also have a character who has been seen in Black Widow, Taskmaster, who will be a key character.

Here Yelena’s journey continues as seen in Hawkeye where she was convinced of Clint Barton Hawkeye being the cause of Natasha Romanoff’s Black Widow’s assassination. Judging from all this it seems quite reasonable to assume that MCU is depicting Yelena as a keeper of the Black Widow history and makes it possible to confront resurrected Natasha at some point. Based on the facts when we as readers move further into Yelena storyline, the readers should observe the fact that the character’s outfit and hair look almost exactly like Natasha’s hair and her ‘work’ outfit pointing to the possibility of the Black Widow legacy being extended.

Then comes a yellow colored Marvel Studios logo closely alluding to Sentry. The doors are flung open revealing a woman of the black widow type who seems to be in the likeness of scarlet fan of Johansson’s Natasha. The movie appears to be in the tone of The Avengers (2012) but in a darker version. The next scene features Bucky Barnes who seems to be in the government but from the decoration of his suit it looks like he is a politician in the house as he is wearing a congress man’s pin.

The following frame advances the plot by introducing U.S. Agent where he is holding a child and going through childhood trauma. The article explains how he was selected as the one to wear the shield of Captain America only to sink into the dark and kill someone. This recalls his story depicted in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Also, building ignition can be sighted, followed by active combat of Yelena in a dark place, which feels like Natasha’s fighting scenes. This particular action scene has a subtle messier approach, alluding to Yelena’s conflicts within herself.

She continues the fight in what appears to be an unusual laboratory and as the action proceeds, Yelena herself is in a fight in which she finds documents concerning Sentry and the Watchtower. She has other red gel, which may concern with the Red Room activities or something even worse. The task which Yelena begins in the very beginning however looks more to be like one of her of saving for normal days to come.

Following this, a particularly inspirational and suspenseful scene is seen where Yelena hurls a knife towards Ghost, who intercepts it and sends it since we see Taskmaster, who in turn sends it towards U.S. Agent. One can clearly draw similarities to the way the Avengers are shot in Infinity War. U.S. Agent has in his possession, a shield that has turned black and is full of scratches without its star, the same one that was teased in earlier posters.

The next character coming up is Bob Hermes/Sentry, looking quite panicked as he tries to present himself to the Thunderbolts. Yelena is curious about this whole thing and asks who sent him. Bob Kevin Hart says no one sent him. It goes without saying, that the Thunderbolts were surprised to see Bob because they have no idea who he is. Bob used to be Sentry but nobody and not even Bob recalls that. His identity was erased from existence and now he walks around like a normal human being. Since the Thunderbolts do not know about his true nature, they will most likely assist him in fleeing, thereby liberating him without, although unknowingly, Sentry.

Bob’s metamorphosis into Sentry shall be a high point in the movie, and it is implied that his superhuman abilities are derived from the sun as in that many of his powers are similar to Superman’s. That’s why all of Bob’s scenes in the trailer are nighttime shots. A red timer appears at the end of the trailer that only says 09:58 moving in a clockwise direction, it means that the basement is about to be torched. This heat is reasonable, probably more of a security measure intended to incinerate Sentry if he ever escaped. But since the Thunderbolts have no knowledge of who Bob really is, they will probably help him escape, a scenario that will definitely raise Sentry once more.

As the trailer comes to a close, Yelena recounts, in a chilling manner, one line – that some are bad and some others even worse – as images of the Thunderbolts’ previous deeds flash across the screen. The Avengers Tower is also demonstrated with a big celebration showing off Loki’s scepter and Chitauron remains of the Avengers (2012) at the exhibition. Bucky is rather focused and following Valentina around the room with a watchful eye suggesting that she has got an agenda beyond the order of an assimilation.

As the trailer reaches its final moments, we see Sentry as well break out, and begin to fight against the military that tries to shoot him down, of which he is totally fine. In the last shot of absolute madness, Bucky is depicted in a car and is seen heading straight towards Thunderbolts Winter Soldier style and this draws so many questions rather than answers.

This breakdown barely scratches the surface of all the theories and possibilities that Thunderbolts could offer, but I believe this movie will introduce significant players like the Squadron Supreme and the Dark Avengers. Look forward to further breakdowns and theories in the next videos.
