Rez Ball is a sports film based on actual events. It tells the story of a high school basketball team on a Native American reservation. The movie is directed by Sydney Freeland and is about young players who confront around ball court and outside it troubles with social constraints and inner demons to win the championship. This film is more than just basketball action; it also tackles the issues of pride, identity, and the spirit of community that leads to victory for the team. This story of the underdog is very strong and emotional with lots of moments dedicated to recovery and patience. Strong Performances: Daniel is uniquely portrayed by his following actor Forrest Goodluck. He takes his character on a thorough transformation with impact. NEGATIVE ASPECTS: Predictable Plot: Inspiring as it may be, the storyline is similar to the rest underdog sports movies, making some plot twists very predictable. Underdeveloped Secondary Characters: Some of the supporting characters could have been fleshed out more as their issues and issues become background upon preference of the main plot.
